I am truly honored to serve as the 47th president of the Georgia Highway Contractors Association. The Association continues to be the leading advocate for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges throughout our great state of Georgia. GHCA faces the ever changing dynamics of business, inflation, labor shortages and politics. GHCA remains involved with all these forces with committed leadership from our dedicated staff, board of directors, and membership.

The Association's long standing relationship with state lawmakers is very important. From the Governor's office, to the capitol, to the legislators throughout the state, the Association will work to maintain clear and worthwhile communications.

Also, the Association works with Federal lawmakers with the guidance of the American Road and Transportation Builders Association. GHCA will continue to follow the impacts of the IIJA and work with the federal associations if needed. The Association will continue to be the leading transportation advocate with the Georgia elected Federal delegation. 

GHCA's partnership with GDOT remains central to our work. The Association fosters a relationship with GDOT leadership and staff. This keeps the Association and the membership informed about specification updates, letting forecasts, funding forecasts and the general direction of the department.

I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the board and the membership. I look forward to seeing all of you. Let's advance the good work of our Assocation together.
